After India, Facebook launched it program known as "ExpressWifi" in Nigeria. This program allow us to purchase "data" at an affordable rate and then to access the internet via public Wi-Fi hotspot. This will result into a patnership with Coollink which is a Nigerian ISP provider. The program will for a first be deployed in Lagos before spreading out to other parts of the country. Nigerians leaving in Lagos can sign up for a 14 days trial that will provide them with 100MB data per day after which they'll have to suscribe to a data plan. Check it out below. Besides providing with cheap internet, it also aims at empowering the entrepreneurs who get the wifi equipement and setup for free and make a 15% commission on the sale of the ExpressWifi data plan. Well when I saw this I was somehow amazed on how it was cheap before checking out Orange's data plan here in Cameroon xp This program is to be deployed in 14 African countries.
