Well this is not a big news as this funcion was available on a previous version of the Facebook Messenger app but was later removed (nobody really knows the reason). However, as specified by Facebook on the official Messenger account, the new version of the app is available since the 15th of June and allow users to make it their SMS app by default. Here is how you can make it a true messaging app, including SMS. So to activate it, simply go to the app, and open the app menu (click on the icon like silhouette), then choose SMS in the setting list and choose Facebook Messenger as the SMS app by default. Facebook Messenger will then display the standard conversations as blue and the conversation by SMS as violet. MMS are also supported as it is possible to send texts, images, videos, audios, emojis and share the geographical position. In brief to do all what a standard messaging app allow us to do. Also, Facebook specifies that the conversations via SMS aren't uplaoded to their servers and that the conversations are still subject to the phone plans of mobile operators. So what do you think about it?
