After Chrome 52, Google just announced on it blog the arrival of Chrome 53 in September. This will be another step in Google's plan of reducing Flash usage in favor of HTML5. It is time to accelerate the web. In this way all flash content on different websites will be blocked by default and will require the user to manually activate them so as to view them. Google also says that HTML5 will be use be default on Chrome 55 that will be coming in December. This transition will be carried out on smartphones, tablettes and computers. This will according to Google help to reduce the power consumption by the browser hence reducing the work on our batteries. However, this transition doesn't concern websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Yahoo or Amazon just to name these. This is because of heavy adjustments that have to be made so that the transition will be carry out without too much problems. Google is not the only one carrying out this battle. Microsoft, Mozilla and Apple will be carrying out the same transition on their respective web browsers all this in order completely eliminate Flash.
