Mediametrie, the leader of media studies, measured, for the first time this year 2016, the performance of social networks in Cameroon. The first results published on November 10 revealed a widespread practice of these networks. . Mediametrie and its partner Sew-Cametrie conducted this study in the 4 main cities of Cameroon (Douala, Yaounde, Bamenda and Bafoussam) in the first half of 2016. The surveys Were carried out by telephone in 3 waves of 16 days each, between 15 May 2016 and 19 September 2016, among 1680 people aged 15 years and over who are representative of the population living in these 4 cities. It shows that 68.2% of individuals aged 15 and over are registered on a social network. This rate is 75.3% among young people aged 15-24. Facebook is the most frequented network followed by Google+, Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin Mediametry observes, measures and analyzes Public behavior and market trends.
