The Redmond firm has annouced on June 29 the release of Windows 10 major update, the "Windows Anniversay Update" which is programmed for August 2. Windows 10 has been released on the 29th of Jully 2015 and will be 1 year old very soon. Since it release, over 350million devices are now running on Windows 10, plus customer satisfaction which is higher that any previous version of Windows and customer engagement is also incredible with more than 165 billion hours of use of Windows 10 since launch, says the Redmond firm, and in other to celebrate this, Microsoft will be releasing this Anniversary . With over 350 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of Windows. Full of New Innovations for Consumers and Enterprises This update brings a bunch of new feature which are all destined to help us being more productive, stay safer online and of course bring more fun. This new features include: Security Microsoft has brought 2 new big security innovations for individual customers they say and they include; -Windows Hello allows you for example to unlock your PC by using your connected devices -Windows Defender has also been improved to include automatic schedule of periodic quick scans of our PC For enterprises, Microsoft is releasing 2 major security features to help protect organizations from modern threats: -The Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (WDATP) detects, investigates and responds to advances malicious attacks on networks -The Windows Information Protection will help protect businesses from accidental data leaks Windows Ink Windows Ink is a new feature from Microsoft which improves the functionality of it pen for the Surface tablettes. This is in other to let you be more creative and more productive. -Quickly and easily take a note, sketch on a screenshot, or draw an idea. -Smart Sticky Notes help you remember common tasks like reminding you of flight times or offering directions using Maps. -Key apps have new ink-specific features, like using handwriting in Office, ink annotations in Microsoft Edge or drawing custom routes in Maps. Cortana -Is now available from the lock screen so you can do things like ask questions, play music from your PC or set a reminder without unlocking your device. Microsoft Edge -Power saving improvements by using fewer CPU cycles, consuming less memory and minimizing the impact of background activity -Improvements in the display quality of webpages Gaming -Possibility of playing games both on the Windows 10 PC and Xbox using Xbox Play -Ability to purchase Xbox games on a Windwos PC with the new unified Windows _Ability to put on the Xbox console from the Windows 10 PC by saying "Hey Cortana, Xbox on" The features listed above have been summarized by me.
